Today I’m going to show you some GIF artwork, but not the kind you normally see.
These animated photographs, with a sometimes slanting twist in their appearance, expand the reality of the content. The pioneers Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg called these cinemagraphs.
This is not that technically impressive. But despite a minimum of moving elements, the otherwise still photo gains a unique liveliness.
Dozens of photographers find this technique interesting and have produced exciting results.
